Iconic. Legendary. Influential. Just a few adjectives that you will hear throughout the next several weeks as the world still celebrates the life of the late Michael Jackson. He was able to create his own pop/rock genre and at the same time destroy racial music barriers as he showcased his talents to the world. His music spans generations. I’m not going to repeat the life of Michael so here’s a dedication to him with some of our favorite remixes of classic Michael Jackson tunes. Eeeeeeheeeeeee! Shamone! Here’s 5 remixes dedicated to you Jackson.
1. Thriller, an all time classic is remixed with Justice.
2. Our very own Telemitry did a remix of Smooth Criminal long ago — take a listen.
3. Fergie puts in her own vocals into Michael Jackson’s Beat It. Can’t beat the original but her voice nicely blends in with MJ’s.
4. History, Remixed
5. Freemason’s do their thang with their remix of Rock With You
6. Billie Jean 2008 by Kanye West. I’m not a big fan but when Kanye West does a remix, he doesn’t just pick anybody and this really reflects on the influence and impact of the King of Pop.

In the spirit of the NBA Finals, I thought I would pick out 2 popular songs that pay tribute to their respective team locations.
On the left side of the ring we have Ya Boy feat Dr. Hollywood – We Run LA coming to the radios just in time for the Lakers to make their run to the Finals. With a catchy hook and an uptempo beat, it’s sure to keep the ladies dancing on the floor. Representing Orlando, we have LMFAO – I’m in Miami Bitch. Not exactly Orlando but you can’t blame Miami for getting all the attention, especially when it comes to up and coming artists and producers. Too bad the Heat didn’t make it — they would definitely be rocking that song. LMFAO taking hip hop and electro to the next level throws down a big time shoutout for Miami with this hit making plays in every city. The beats on the LMFAO track diiiirtty, house music style. DJ’s turned rappers, artists, they are heavy hitters in the remix scene and are about to release a new album, Party Rock in late July…
Yea, there are plenty of other songs that speak to the each of the states but the reason I matched these two were primarily due to the amount of plays they get on radio. Which one is better?
